Liberty Hospital is hosting a free “Know Your Medications” event 8:00 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 16. By appointment only, this is a time to meet one-on-one with a pharmacist to review your medications, discuss side effects and ask questions.
“This is a unique opportunity for patients to get to know their medications and have uninterrupted, one-on-one time with a pharmacist,” said Lindsay Foresee, PharmD, BCPS, a Liberty Hospital pharmacist.
Five pharmacists will be available to see 20 participants. Register here. Only registered participants will be seen. Appointments are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointments will be held on the ground floor of the Doctors Building, 2521 Glenn Hendren Drive, Liberty. Bring all of your current and unused medications, including vitamins/supplements and over-the-counter medications.
To support the TreeHouse at Liberty Hospital, participants are invited to bring a donation, such as paper towels, toilet paper, bottled water, tissues, paper plates, breakfast bars or coffee. The TreeHouse is a home-away-from-home for patient families.
For more information, contact the Liberty Hospital Pharmacy at 816-792-7265. The Liberty Police Department is hosting a drug take-back event for these event participants.
