This childbirth classes covers the mechanics of the labor and birth process. This is not a Lamaze class, but time will be spent learning breathing/relaxation techniques as well as comfort measures and the role of the coach.
Topics also include interventions, complications and pain management. A guided tour of the Birthing Center is included.
Baby care basics is recommended as a companion class and requires separate registration. We suggest that you complete your classes by the time you are 36 weeks gestation. Registration is required to participate in this class. You only need to register one time per couple.
