Breastfeeding Basics class provides information for expectant families to identify the benefits of breastfeeding for mom and baby. Breastfeeding support services are coordinated by a Certified Lactation Consultant who teaches this class and hosts Libby's Baby Station, a new mother and baby support group.
Liberty Hospital is an official Medela pump station and our lactation consultant can answer all your questions, as well as provide information regarding pump rental/sales and supplies. This class is intended to help manage breastfeeding for the first few weeks at home.
Breastfeeding Basics requires registration to attend. You only need to register one time per couple. Significant other is encouraged to attend. This class also is available online. No registration is necessary for the online class.
