Class is 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. every third Wednesday of the month. Kidney Smart is a comprehensive, interactive disease education class for chronic kidney disease patients. Classes are available to anyone to attend at no cost. The class teaches patients:
- how kidneys function;
- causes of chronic kidney disease;
- importance of medication, diet and lifestyle choices; and
- potential treatment options
Classes are available in both English and Spanish.
